This Remote Workspace Professional Conduct Policy (the “Policy”) is executed alongside the Independent Contractor Services Agreement and sets forth the foundational behavioral standards, communication rules, and zero-tolerance harassment regulations required of all Service Providers (the “Contractor”) interacting within the digital ecosystem of Gifton (the “Company”).
1. Professional Communication Standards
Because the Company operates an entirely remote workforce across multiple divisions, the quality, tone, and clarity of digital communication are critical to business operations.
- Official Channels Only: All work-related communications must occur strictly within designated Company platforms, including internal portals, corporate emails, and official workspace text/voice channels (including company-authorized WhatsApp operational groups).
- Tone and Decorum: The Contractor is required to maintain a professional, respectful, and solution-oriented tone in all interactions with colleagues, managers, and management representatives. Shouting (using all caps), using offensive language, or employing passive-aggressive remarks is strictly prohibited.
- Operational Responsiveness: During active operational shifts or committed task cycles, the Contractor must remain accessible and responsive to management pings, milestone updates, and verification check-ins within the reasonable timeframes set by operational guidelines.
2. Zero-Tolerance Anti-Harassment Framework
The Company is committed to providing a safe, secure, and respectful digital workspace for all independent contractors, free from intimidation, hostility, or discrimination. The Company maintains an absolute zero-tolerance policy for:
- Verbal and Textual Abuse: Using defamatory, insulting, or derogatory remarks, slurs, or profiling against any other contractor or Company stakeholder.
- Digital Bullying & Intimidation: Sending threatening, aggressive, or hostile messages, or engaging in public shaming within shared workspace channels or groups.
- Gender-Based & Sexual Harassment: Making unwelcome sexual advances, sending inappropriate digital media, or engaging in suggestive remarks or text-based commentary. Any instance of digital harassment or inappropriate advances toward a colleague will result in immediate legal and contract escalation.
3. Workspace Integrity and Anti-Disruption
To maintain operational focus and harmony across teams, the Contractor must respect organizational hierarchies and internal reporting lines.
- Prohibition of Workspace Sabotage: The Contractor shall not instigate, organize, or participate in uncoordinated group walkouts, internal strikes, or mass communication blackouts designed to disrupt active business lifecycles or hold Company pipelines hostage.
- No Unauthorized Group Formations: Creating alternative, unmonitored back-channel chat groups using personal numbers to gossip, spread misinformation, defame management, or instigate workplace dissatisfaction among team members is viewed as a material breach of operational trust.
- Grievance Escalation Path: If the Contractor has a legitimate operational concern, dispute, or complaint regarding a payout, shift, or team leader, they must escalate it professionally through the designated private HR or management feedback channels, rather than airing grievances in public team chats.
4. Enforcement, Contract Termination, and Sanctions
Maintaining a professional culture is necessary to preserve the safety and productivity of our remote workforce. Any verified breach of this Policy will result in immediate disciplinary enforcement by Company administration:
- First Infraction (Minor): A formal written warning via official channels and temporary suspension of access to shared social workspace channels.
- Material or Repeated Breaches: Immediate and permanent revocation of all portal logins, internal system clearances, and workspace access.
- Termination For Cause: Material violations—such as verified sexual harassment, active workspace sabotage, or verbal abuse of team members—will result in the immediate cancellation of the contractor relationship for cause, alongside the complete forfeiture of any accrued, pending, or unpaid shift stipends from the current batch.
